A convicted drug dealer serving a 10-year federal prison sentence before his sentence was commuted by Donald Trump has been arrested on charges of assaulting a three-year-old child, elderly man and his wife; groping his family nanny; and threatening a hospital staffer. Jonathan Braun also lost a $20 million judgment to the Federal Trade Commission for illegal customer withdrawals at his loan company and evaded tolls 40 times because his Lamborghini and Ferrari sports cars lacked license plates.
Braun, who was a high-ranking member of an international group that smuggled more than 220,000 pounds of marijuana from Canada, only served one year of his original sentence before Trump commuted his sentence without explanation.
Trump "stands by" his decision, White House spokesperson Harrison Fields said.
