ICE Gestapo Kills California Farm Worker In Raid

One person has died from "injuries they sustained as a result of yesterday's immigration enforcement action" in California, United Farm Workers said on Friday.

Federal agents clashed with protesters during an immigration raid at a farm in Ventura, one of at least two large-scale raids in Southern California on Thursday.

"The union, in a series of posts on Friday, confirmed some farmworkers were critically injured during the enforcement operation.

"Others, including US citizens remain unaccounted for," UFW said in a post.

ABC News' Los Angeles station KABC, reported the man was Jaime Garca. Earlier in the day, KABC spoke with a family member who said he fell about 30 feet off a building while he was possibly trying to run from federal agents."

His death is a result of this raid, no matter how exactly he died.

George Retes, 25, works as a security guard at Glass House Farms, where the raid took place Thursday. His sister and wife told Eyewitness News that he was trying to leave the area as tensions escalated between federal agents and protesters.

They say they saw AIR7 footage of the scene and were able to see his white vehicle.

"ICE thought he was probably part of the protest, but he wasn't, he was trying to reverse his car," said his sister, Destinee Majana.

"They broke his window, they pepper-sprayed him, they grabbed him, threw him on the floor. They detained him."

@1 ... "The union, in a series of posts on Friday, confirmed some farmworkers were critically injured during the enforcement operation.

"Others, including US citizens remain unaccounted for," UFW said in a post. ...

What will be the consequences of those actions?

Or the apparent cruel horror Pres Trump's goal?

Trump is taking his Police State to the next level. He just posted the following authorization on Truth Social:

"I am directing Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, and Border Czar, Tom Homan, to instruct all ICE, Homeland Security, or any other Law Enforcement Officer who is on the receiving end of thrown rocks, bricks, or any other form of assault, to stop their car, and arrest these SLIMEBALLS, using whatever means is necessary to do so.

I am giving Total Authorization for ICE to protect itself, just like they protect the Public. I never want to see a car carrying a Law Enforcement Officer attacked again! AUTHORIZATION IMMEDIATELY GRANTED FOR ARREST AND INCARCERATION. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

the unedited post at the link; apparently the most important thing from his trip to Texas was seeing someone throw a rock at an ICE car.

As I mentioned earlier in another comment ...

Pres Trump seems to be using ICE (and it's much expanded police powers over regular law enforcement agents and officers) as his personal militia against Americans.

Same raids...

"Children Left Alone After Mothers Arrested in Immigration Raids

"I Just Hope I Get My Mom Back," Says 15-Year-Old Juan Martinez, Who Is Now Caring for His Brothers, Ages 8 and 9"

Thursday morning, 15-year-old Juan Martinez received a frantic call from his mother. She told him Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were right outside the Glass House Farms complex where she worked and would enter at any moment. "She was rushed," said Martinez. "She was panicking."

Martinez didn't know what to do. "It was really, really stressful," he said. "I couldn't drive over there. I couldn't do anything. I was helpless."

The next communication from Martinez's mother came at 11:36 a.m., close to the end of her regular 3 a.m. to 12 p.m. shift. In a hushed voice text she said she was in custody in a van and being taken to Los Angeles. She told him to take care of his brothers. "That made me cry," Martinez said.

Martinez's mother was among more than two dozen Glass House Farms employees arrested during Thursday's ICE raid on the cannabis company's properties in Carpinteria and Camarillo. An undocumented migrant from Guerrero, Mexico, she had been living and working in Southern California for 16 years and has no criminal record, Martinez said.

Martinez has not heard from her since. Meanwhile, he is doing his best to look after his two siblings, ages 8 and 9.

"I'm actually really lost right now," he said. "I don't know what to tell them because I don't want them to freak out. Because they're little, they're little kids."

Judy Collins - Amazing Grace (1970)

Lyrics excerpt ...

...
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind, but now can see

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

Through many dangers, toils and snares
We have already come
'Twas grace hath brought me safe thus far
And grace will lead us home

And when we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
We'll have no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we first begun

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind, but now can see

'Chimpfluencers' Are Sticking Grass in Their Ears
drudge.com

...[In] August 2023, at the Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage Trust sanctuary in Zambia, a trendsetting chimp named Juma was seen sticking a piece of grass into his ear, deep enough to stay there on its own. Within a week the fad went viral, as four other chimps in the group started copying his unusual accessory.

Not to be outdone, later that month Juma debuted a risqu variation: he inserted a blade of grass into his rectum, and left it dangling. This unorthodox trend also caught on, with five other chimps adopting the strange new fashion. ...

"Federal judge blocks 'roving' immigration arrests amid Los Angeles crackdown

The order on Friday temporarily blocked the Trump administration from conducting the arrests without "reasonable suspicion" that its targets were in the country illegally.

Frimpong's order is a sweeping rebuke of the aggressive immigration operation the Department of Homeland Security launched in Los Angeles, one that has provoked fierce and sometimes violent protests.

And it bars the administration from making arrests without relying on other, more specific factors that would suggest a person is in the country illegally."
