In a nutshell, why the Democrats lost nationally in 2024 but Zohran Mamdani won in NYC this week:

POTUS Joe Biden upon hearing that the ICC indicted Vladimir Putin for war crimes (BBC, 18 Mar 2023): "He's clearly committed war crimes."

POTUS Joe Biden upon hearing that the ICC indicted Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes (BBC, 22 Nov 2024): "That's outrageous!"

And after all the tremendous financial and military support Biden continued to send to Bibi during the Nakba at cost of the progressive antiwar bloc, the nefarious Netanyahu visited the ex-POTUS in nearby Delaware each time he flew to Washington DC this year, right?

In a post on Twitter/X, Biden administration official Phil Gordon said Ms. Harris "has been clear: she will always ensure Israel is able to defend itself against Iran and Iran-backed terrorist groups".

Why should we "wait and see how Mayor-elect Mamdani performs and acts going forward?"

Q: Why should Zohran Mamdani be scrutinized any more or less than any other elected official? And how should this mild-mannered man "act?"

A: Because he is Muslim, nothing more, nothing less and a thorn in the side of AIPAC. Zohran's platform is no more incendiary or dangerous than Bernie Sander's or Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC who calls himself a "European Socialist." Lawrence O'Donnell worked for Democratic Party luminaries his whole career.
