The leader of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), an organization that fights antisemitism, is explaining his group's decision to set up a special project to monitor Zohran Mamdani, the mayor-elect of New York City.
The Anti-Defamation League is launching an "initiative to track and monitor Mamdani administration policies." They did not do this when the Heritage Foundation, which is directly staffing and writing policies for the Trump administration, defended neo-Nazis.

Democratic Presidential candidate "Kamala Harris will not support an arms embargo on Israel, her national security adviser says, a day after she was heckled by pro-Palestinian protesters at a rally in Detroit.
In a post on Twitter/X, Biden administration official Phil Gordon said Ms. Harris "has been clear: she will always ensure Israel is able to defend itself against Iran and Iran-backed terrorist groups".

And still half of Muslim Americans (1.34% of the US population) voted for Kamala Harris, similar to the rest of the country.

Bye-bye 6,265,888 antiwar progressive voters Democrats had in 2020, just like 1968.

@#3 ... Will the ADL monitor the rampant Islamophobia directed towards Mamdani?
The guy's parents are Indian and he was raised in Uganda.
But sure, he's a sharia law Muslim bringing communism to America.
Republicans are fkkking morons. ...
And, as I have stated in the past more than once ...
Many of the policies that Mayor-elect Mamdani wants to institute may be dead on arrival because (known locally, but not nationally) New York State has a tremduous sway over the Mayor of NYC.
For example ...
Hochul a 'no' on Mamdani's free bus plan; 'yes' on statewide universal childcare

... During the final day of the Somos conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Gov. Kathy Hochul threw cold water on one of Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani's key policy proposals: free MTA bus rides.
"I cannot set forth a plan right now that takes money out of a system that relies on the fares of the buses and the subways. But can we find a path to make it more affordable for people who need help? Of course, we can," Hochul said during a press conference with reporters, referencing her prior deals with the MTA to provide billions for the authority's next capital plan, as well as other investments like cameras on subway cars. ...
Since NYC's MTA, that provides the bus service, is actually a state-run orgranization (as I have noted in the past), free bus fares in NYC do not look promising at this point.
Another aspect, known locally but not nationally, is that the Governor of NY can remove the Mayor of NYC in some instances.
To wit ...
Governor Hochul will not remove NYC Mayor Adams from office (February 2025)
www.bbc.com
... Governor Kathy Hochul has decided not to remove New York City Mayor Eric Adams from office, but instead announced a plan to limit his authority following a string of scandals.
The New York governor said she would propose legislation and measures aimed at exerting more oversight over the mayor's office. Adams responded there would have been no legal basis to remove him. ...
