"The next step is ensuring that this triumph sets Venezuela up for stability rather than chaos."

Which may be the main reason it was a bad idea; the Incredibly Incompetent Clown Car Cabinet and their Brainless Leader have little interest in the people of Venezuela... one might say no interest in their wellbeing at all.

But, bullies are going to bully, because that's what they are.

Of course they do. Bezos isn't going to risk his gov't contracts over something as intangible as integrity.

@#3 ... Of course they do. Bezos isn't going to risk his gov't contracts over something as intangible as integrity. ...

The WaPo OpEd board seems to have aligned itself with Pres Trump, especially after Mr Bezos gave it new marching orders.

When was the last time there was an OpEd there that criticized Pres Trump?

". . . calling the military operation 'a major victory for American interests.'"

Too bad the US isn't claiming many victories these days in the interest of humans.

I thought it was "Law Enforcement".

Not a military operation.

Lil' Marco said so.

That's why Congress wasn't informed.

There's no requirement to inform Congress if it's a law enforcement action.

You can't make this ---- up

How many data centers was Bezos promised?

Even most of the Chavistas are happy that Maduro has been taken out of power. Except for the ones who are also Maduristas and aligned with Putin.

Too bad the US isn't claiming many victories these days in the interest of humans.

We are constantly reminded that the US cannot afford universal healthcare, social security, medicare, medicaid, food stamps and veteran's benefits by the GOP while finding the money for the military black hole, kidnapping foreign presidents, ICE, golfing trips for Pedo, new private jets for Krusty Gnome, an armored BMW for Bugsy Patel, endless frivolous prosecutions of Pedo's enemies list, a golden ballroom, a triumph arch, gold plated ornamentation all over the white house and a billion dollar "gift" plane for Pedo47.
