Trump's using our military like Peter II, the juvenile, crazy fiance of Russia's Catherine The Great

He's also never served in the military. Fortunately, smallpox ended his life when he was 14 before his marriage to Catherine or he'd have used Russia's military in real and bad ways besides having hundreds of soldiers parade around for his entertainment like boys with GI Joes.

Maybe this is part of an overall concept of a plan to teach MAGAts about world geography.

Trump has a coward's infatuation with war.

Doesn't Trump's expanding warfare seem FEVERED to anyone? Grossly EMOTIONAL? GRANDIOSE?

Listen: I well know that MAGA doesn't take the issue of Trump's insanity seriously, but this is his mental illness interacting with his cognitive decline.

I mean, how many wars do you want the man to start before you start seeing him as being simply crazy?

Which gets me to the subject of the midterms.

It's just as possible to have a war within the United States as it is without.

Personally, I see a very thin line between the crazy man launching great fleets in war against various countries without asking permission and launching a nuke.

Some would say that it is impossible for Trump to order a nuclear strike against Iran if events go south there and get him frustrated.

But I say not.

It would be difficult to find any single action that would feed his ego more.

What I dislike about MAGA (among a multitude of things) is that they are neither realists nor idealists.

They are the Pillsbury doughboys of the American body politic. They deform according to how Trump pokes at them.

If Trump orders a nuke, they are all in with him.

The United States maintains a military presence in at least 80 countries worldwide, operating roughly 7500 bases.

www.congress.gov

Wouldn't it be great if all the bases were closed and all our troops were lined up along the north and south borders, ten times over.

To think the Constitution requires Congress to consider every two years about a standing army: a check on military power???

At least this one seems to be in cooperation with the country of operations.

Still, though, what happened to all the puling about the national debt and concerns about combat readiness and munitions supplies for the US?

This is actually a joint operation with the Ecuadorian government, unlike Trump's other adventures.
