25th Amendment: Former Trump Attorney Calls Out Cabinet for Not Invoking

Ty Cobb, who served as White House counsel during President Donald Trump's first term, said Wednesday that president is "clearly insane" and questioned why the Cabinet has not invoked the 25th Amendment to remove him from office.

"Cobb's comments represent one of the most pointed public attacks from a former Trump insider, suggesting the president's mental state has deteriorated beyond what he witnessed during the first administration.

"I think he's gone," Cobb said to Acosta, a Trump critic, when asked directly if the president had lost his grip on reality.

Cobb cited Trump's Iran war strategy, which he said was executed without consulting allies and against military advice. He also pointed to Trump's recent Truth Social posts telling allies to "go get your own oil" from the Strait of Hormuz.

"He believed that merely by exercising his power and puffing out his chest that Iran would surrender, that the regime would step down," Cobb said. "And now his position to the world is, hey, we broke it. I don't care. You fix it."

He also criticized the Cabinet's composition, arguing that it lacked the "intelligent, courageous people of character" who could push back during the first term, such as Defense Secretary James Mattis and White House Chief of Staff John Kelly.

"There were people who would say no, you can't do that," Cobb said. "We don't have that now."

also this from the article:

"Journalist Scott McConnell, founding editor of The American Conservative magazine, posted on March 23:

"My advice to Vance: announce your support of a 25th Amendment transition. Say Chris Murphy or similar will be veep. Announce you will not be a candidate in 2028. Use your position and access to the media to explain why this is necessary. Don't resign."

Ty Cobb has been friendly with the truth for a while now. One wonders how he was ever roped in during Trump I.

Trump's cabinet couldn't locate the hole in a donut.

I think they might enact the 25th if any of them could count that high.

@#7 ... I think they might enact the 25th if any of them could count that high. ...

Well, there's that aspect.

But also keep in mind why they were chosen in the first place.

Unfettered adulation of Pres Trump.

Have you watched a video of Pres Trump's Cabinet meetings?

Briefly, unfortunately; the sycophant energy is beyond belief:

Everyone except me and you is clearly insane, and sometimes I wonder about you.

Yes, thanks for the truth telling reporting. There are men and women and little children dying by the hour, all over the world, thanks to Trump's warmongering...and one has to add, thanks to Netanyahu's pushing Trump's buttons.
Trump was never capable of being President, but apparently MAGA didn't care.

Why haven't they invoked it?

They're free to steal as much as they want so they don't see a problem.

That's what I'm thinking. They're getting what they can, while they can, and they'll worry about the consequences later. What a shameful con this entire administration is. Every cabinet member is a narcissistic kook.

Why haven't they invoked it?

They are waiting for Donald to fall and carve up the remains of the empire among themselves.

I'd be much more on board with it this way err it not for the last president and his enablers and propagandists.

It's Biden's Fault(TM) that JeffJ can't figure out if Trump is insane.
