Donald Trump's months-long effort to overturn his defeat in the 2020 election culminated on a single, now-infamous day: Jan. 6. But there was an alternate scenario gamed out by Trump's lawyers -- one that would have expanded the hours of indecision caused by the Trump campaign's efforts ...

That's why Dementia Don kept asking the DOJ to "just say there was fraud and me and the Republicans will take care of it".

What was Trump's plan to stay in office beyond Jan 20th, since, as per the constitution, his and Pence's term would have ended on the 20th? I'm guessing that the Speaker of the House (Pelosi) would have become president?

The best descriptor in this article of all three plans is

'Keystone Cops"

But I do understand now why Pence was so mistrustful of his limo driver that he refused to get in the limo to take him away from the Capitol Building.

And his instinct was correct. One of the plans was for Chuck Grassley to take over as Senate pro temp in Pence's absence and do what Pence wouldn't do. And then let chaos reign supreme.

For a bunch of legal eagles involved in these plans to steal the election for Trump, "Keystone Cops" hardly scratched the surface. IMO, also too many cooks in the kitchen.

If Biden wins re-election, you can bet Jack Smith will be going after the members of Congress that were part of the "Green Bay Sweep". They know that they are on Smith's radar and their behavior will become increasingly erratic as polls begin to consistently show Biden to be favored.

I suspect that when Jack Smith gets Trump inside that DC courtroom, we're going to learn about several of these plans which were put forward by Trump's team of fellow conspirators.
