As a cat owner you should always check boxes to see if the cats are in them.
Mine always seem to be.

At least the cat didn't get a bullet to the face in a gravel pit.

You f'n think???

For years I had a large, male Macaw for a pet and I traveled with work a lot. When I left him at the vet office for boarding more than a couple days, the first thing he did was bite me as soon as I picked him up. Everyone thought it was funny but the fkkker knew just how hard to bite to let me know.

I was moving from the Silicon Valley to Austin in the early 80's, taking a UHaul truck full of furniture, and towing the late 70's Alpha Romeo Spider ragtop.

The cat, Smudge, who we had found as a lost kitten on the Stanford campus, road with me.

We stopped over nite at a motel in La Jolla. In the morning, Smudge was no where to be found. I looked everywhere, talked to the owner, stopped at a posh pet shop (he was that kind of cat), but no Smudge. I figured he had slipped out the door when I gone to the beach for dinner. Gone cattin' around.

So, I was on a schedule and had to leave. A few months later in Austin I got a call from the posh pet shop, where I had left my contact info. They had Smudge, he had been there since right after I left, but he liked it so much they just kept him for a while.

They put him on a plane, and he arrived... about 10 pounds heavier and really pissed. Didn't like flying, apparently. He stayed around for a year or so, but one day I came home and he was gone.

Also the pot stash was gone! We figured that he musta stole it and headed back west... the train wasn't that far down the road, lol.
