Ya know... that is interesting considering how "Church Properties" are a real estate specialty. There are a lot of government-related considerations to meet to ensure that church and state don't meet. I saw a church lose its lease because a state government took over the lease of an office complex.
Since Churches don't pay taxes I don't see why they are even allowed any influence in government. Really, there should be an automatic mic cut the minute a minister starts spouting off about how the government should be run. They are unwilling to pay for it but they'll take the protection.

Since Churches don't pay taxes I don't see why they are even allowed any influence in government.
No substantial part of its activity may be attempting to influence legislation;
What about donating to a non-profits that are tax exempt?
What about individuals that don't pay taxes? Students for instance? Stay at home mothers for instance? Should they even be allowed to vote?
