Dems putting Country before Party... not something Moscow Cow, er, Marge would understand.

They could just stand by and watch the House fail, and that would probably be good politics for them in the election, and that's what Republicans these days would do, but it's not good for the Country.

Trump's not going to be happy with this . . . if he can stay awake long enough.

HAMBURGLAR

No doubt. But if Trump is still alive and out of jail before November, he's going to make Johnson's life miserable.

""I have to do my job. We have to do what we believe to be the right thing, what the country needs right now is a functioning Congress."

Johnson, with that statement, is telling the country that if you want a functioning government then you need to vote for democrats because his party is incapable of governing.

"Americans deserve to see the Uniparty on full display. I'm about to give them their coming out party!" - Greene, with that statement, is telling the country that the clickbait faction of the GOP has no intention in allowing Congress to govern. They want an oligarchy.

Johnson: "I have to do my job. We have to do what we believe to be the right thing, what the country needs right now is a functioning Congress."

LOL ~ I'll believe that when he brings the Senate's bi-partisan Border Security Bill to the House floor for a vote.

I'm not convinced he's ready to double-cross Trump to THAT extent.

Leadership in times of crisis is neither a leftwing nor a rightwing proposition. And that is exactly what Johnson is trying to do. With zero help from the extreme MAGAts and seemingly most rightwingers.

Why should independents vote Republican when Republicans are completely dysfunctional?

Mike Johnson is literally all Republicans have going for them. So far, he's managed to accomplish a few things, including some wins on republican issues.

The far right is good at complaining and being rabble rousers, but they're impotent as legislators.

But then leading is a lot more challenging than just complaining about everything.

"do the right thing for the country" is subjective to Republicans.

Trump thinks "doing the right thing for the country" means electing him.

See what I mean?
