It was 85 F on my back patio.
It hardly ever gets above 70 here on the Lost Coast.
It was 110 just a few minutes over the hill (east). The breeze from the ocean stopped completely for a few days. Our air quality went to crap for a whole day! (Air quality is never bad here unless there are wildfires near) Now all that heat is finally moving east.
I wish you all good luck with it.

Here in CT, we've been "sweltering" since June, with afternoon temps running 10 to 20 degrees above the norm and tropical-level dew points. Looks like we're finally going to get a 3 day respite the end of this coming week, then back to the heat.
June averaged 5 degrees above normal.
