On Tuesday, Republicans in the U.S. Senate voted to block the passage of a Democratic-sponsored bill that seeks to provide a national right to in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and mandate insurance coverage of such treatments.

No IVF? No prob. The US will just institute that system of child-bearing described in "The Handmaid's Tale", complete with all those young females in their red dresses, walking about.

(Alert to DR readers: that book had the strangest sex scene I've ever read, even from Penthouse magazine.)...
