This school shooting has put Gov. Kemp, an open carry, no permit advocate, between a rock and a hard place.

Now he has to figure out who he works for, the citizens of Georgia or Donald Trump

For a while, back in 2020, I thought Kemp had a spine. Not so much now that I know he lobbies for concealed carry without a permit or even a background check.

Not even an eye test. A blind person could buy an AR15 using their Braille credit card.

Huh. I thought Southern heritage was about marrying your cousin, not shooting them in a classroom. I am glad to see that the shooter's father has been charged with the crime. I suspect that this incident will have many similarities to the Michigan school shooting where the parents were held liable, in addition to their son. Very, very sad for those who were murdered...

I just read where "Good 'ole Boy" Vance referred to this shooting as "an unfortunate fact of life." So are rally shootings, J.D.

Did it put Gov Hotwheels and Ted Cruz between rock and hard place?

Did it put Gov Kinky Boots, ----- Scott and Marco Bible Verse between a rock and hard place?

Did it put Elsie Stefanik between a rock and hard place?

WHILE HE WAS STANDING IN A BOX MADE OF BULLET PROOF GLASS that our kids don't get.

I've always thought it was creepy how gun lovers get all prayerful in their adoration of the second amendment. The idea that somehow the right to have weapons capable of killing lots of innocent people in a short period of time is so sacred, a "God-given" right, superseding the right of individuals to live, doesn't make sense to me from a logical or moral perspective.

So back and forth we go, trying to parse the meaning of words in a written document created by humans hundreds of years ago - the "founding fathers" - people who thought dark-skinned people were only 3/5 as valuable as fair-skinned humans. Yet we have deemed these founders essentially infallible, rather than addressing the real-life effects of such parsing in a way that might stop the horrific slaughter of children at our nation's schools.
