Wait until you see what it does to food prices. I used to work for a Big Agra company and about 30 to 40% of our farm and processing work force was undocumented...of course they weren't "employed" by us. You hide that in a few layers of shell companies and contract firms.

Just wait until the deep-red mid-western farm states start chiming in.

American Agriculture's Dependence on Immigrant Workers (2021)
ualr.edu

... Immigration is one of the most hotly debated issues in American politics. With the ever-growing demand for food, demand for labor to harvest that food continues to rise as well. 73% of the crop farm worker population in the United States are immigrant workers. Roughly 48% of hired crop farmworkers have no work authorization. Immigrant workers are able to assist with harvest through the H-2A Temporary Agricultural Program. This program allows crop farmers to hire seasonal, foreign-born workers to help with labor needs for up to 10 months out of the year. In 2019, there were 258,000 certifications issued for H-2A visas. Other year-round industries like dairy and poultry production facilities are not eligible for H-2A visas, causing them to rely on undocumented workers. ...

As I have said before.

The problem to solve is not the influx of immigrants.

The problem to solve is an economy dependent upon the immigrants.

But hey why weren't you liberals warning us about the fact that immigrants, while on their coffee breaaks from their full-time jobs of murdering and raping American citizens, also do most of the backbreaking labor in this country. Hey Trumpyassh**es you want to pay $10 for one tomato? God you Trumpers are just stupid people.

Do it! Deport them all. It's been far too long since Americans had a slave class. The time has come to stop importing them. Perhaps all those sidewalk dwellers should be recruited to fill the need. Arrest them for being poor and drug-addled by an international BIG pharma...and make them work the farms for their keep until they change their lazy ways. Just like they do in China. Why not? China is buying up our farmlands anyway. The capitalist twist can be the crowded privatized for-profit prison system... clean the streets... if it turns out bad from their villas on foreign soil they can blame Clinton's workfare part of welfare reform from 30 years prior.

There'll be as much deportation as there was wall built.

Any significant move toward collecting illegals will cause many more of them to simply disappear. States and localities will see a drop in sales tax revenue, businesses closing and other businesses slowing down dramatically. In Okiehomie, where most roofing is done by hardworking people who look a lot like illegals, will experience a big backlog in replacement jobs, along with higher installation costs. Restaurants, hotels, landscaping companies and many more will struggle. The fallacy of the National minimum wage will be finally exposed because Americans will not do many jobs for the minimum wage. Wages will jump, as will prices and inflation will be off to the races. The Trump economic team will look good on TV while they make inane happy talk while the economy burns ...

not a problem.

soon there will be 1.1 million government bureaucrats out of work and I'm sure

they're smart enough to work in construction

at least that's one number.... there should be more.

This is what happens when you can't do simple math.

There are more undocumented people working in Texas right now than there are unemployed people in Texas," Perryman said.

Embrace the chaos.

American workers aren't interested in these hard, hot outside jobs... but what's funny as hell is Trumpers just realizing that THEY are going to have to do this work now.

In FL, DeSantis makes sure these workers don't even get the breaks they need during the hot days.

Of course, now with white guys having to do the work, expect these rules to change.

Nah, you know whats really funny Lumpers complained about the "incentive" job openings create for illegal immigration, thats the "root" cause they would "claim".

Trump now saying lets close that incentive. Now the Lumper complaint is chaos (which already exists), and no one is going to do those jobs.

Lumpers are hilarious.

Legal immigration, let everyone in, (SS work auth, citizenship) that gets vetted this won't be an issue. Nice clean immigration.

Whats really scary Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum is signaling that policy changes are on the table just days after a post-Election Day congratulatory call to Trump. Democrats could have really changed immigration for the better during the first 2 years under Biden.

Good luck with that. I can't find a contractor to do anything up here. They won't even come to give a quote.

Nice clean immigration? Sure. Have at it!

Except we have been arguing about it for decades and its only gotten worse.

Now you are gonna finally and magically fix our immigration laws? Do what it takes to fix all the problems? Like immigration is our biggest problem. By the way - you did have four years already. What happened? You think it will be easier this time?

Wait until the roundups begin and the camps start getting filled the the mass deportation ls begin.

You want more chaos. Obviously. Evil thrives on chaos.

I just hope I don't run out of popcorn.

That didn't make sense but they did make changes for the better in a big way. Actually working with Mexico is a big one. Like Mexico blocks one of the biggest groups, Venezuelans, from even flying to Mexico now if they suspect their purpose is to go to the US.

What's hilarious are Chinese immigrants who not only bash immigrants, but are stupid enough to be seen constantly using the totally weird term, "Lumpers", ad infinitum.

Also constantly making embarrassing attempts at relevance is not a good look... it's really whiny and shallow.... OK, perhaps that comes naturally to some.

Most the IRS is work from home. When their auditors resign en-masse because there is literally no desk space in the office, who will audit us? No one, lol. Trump immigration force probably won't do much without a paycheck. Wonder how it will work out when the government can't collect revenue when people realize that no one is coming for them about taxes.
