L.A. Archdiocese Payout Top $1.5 Billion for Clergy Abuse

The Archdiocese of Los Angeles had previously paid $740 million to victims in various settlements, bringing the total payout to over $1.5 billion.

"That was to prevent them from having inheritances." There is a minister in Ohio that encouraged parishioners not to have kids to leave it all to his church. It can work both ways.
