Who would've guessed that watered-down, unwatchable, no-stakes basketball would be less appealing to people who have to search the Internet to figure out how to catch a game every once in a while?

NBA Cup Viewership: Down 10% ESPN Viewership: Down 28% 2024 Playoff Viewership: Down 12% The question of this is what is the source of the data. Most of this type of data comes from broadcast and traditional cable sources. With more and more people switching to streaming services if this is the source of data it is irrelevant. The league is making more money than ever and so are players. There is not a big problem. However, the in season tournament is just plain stupid and will never be 'a second championship'. The only reason the players support itis that there is the potential for more money. The game last night was played to what looked like a half empty arena in Las Vegas.
