Paul Krugman writes about why banks do not want anything to do with Crypto: " ... the real reason banks don't want to be financially connected to crypto is that they believe, with good reason, that to the extent that cryptocurrencies are used for anything besides speculation, much of that activity is criminal -- and they don't want to be accused of acting as accessories."

Yep. As I have typed in this and other site many times, Cryptocurrencies are for criminal activity and naked speculation only, and nothing more...

I can't quite wrap my head around the concept of mining for bitcoin. I'm afraid to even try to go down that rabbit hole, and the idea of the government legitimizing it is scary.
