US Warzone: Gunfire Kills One, Wounds Several in NM Park

Multiple people were shot, at least one fatally, when gunfire erupted at a park in Las Cruces, NM at 2200 HRS, just north of the US-Mexico border. The number of casualties is still being counted and so far no arrests have been made. Anyone with information about Friday's mass shooting is asked to call police at (575) 526-0795. The attack sounds like a warzone firefight: twitter.com In an average year, 507 people die and 821 are wounded by guns in New Mexico, which has the 9th-highest rate of gun violence in the US.

On 7 Feb 2025, Trumpf signed an Executive Order loosening federal restrictions on firearms sales. America obviously needs more weapons on the streets. Perhaps the US will reach the 50,000 firearm-related deaths per year under Trumpf's Reign of Terror. Update: Police report that three people were KIA and 15 WIA. The deceased victims were two 19-year-old men and a 16-year-old boy. The wounded ranged in age from 16 to 36 years old. America is a warzone and the annual casualty count will increase as more people acquire firearms with recently loosened regulations, the proliferation of ammunition vending machines, and rising economic inequalities.
