Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, July 01, 2025

On Tuesday, New York City's Democrat voters chose as their nominee for mayor, Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, who ran on a socialist platform that at times made Sen. Bernie Sanders look like an editor at National Review. Among the insane socialist programs Mamdani has floated are city owned grocery stores just like in Cuba, replacing police with social workers, and a freeze on rents, this goes along with his toxic stance that Israel has no right to exist as a Jewish state.

If moderate Democrats are going to mount a fight for the soul of their party, they'd better start doing so now, because with every Mamdani their brand moves closer and closer to looking like a hammer and sickle.

Even regularly loyal liberal outlets like The New York Times called out Mamdani as a disaster in waiting, but it didn't matter. If the lefty media can't stop crazy progressives, then who can?

It's interesting this is happening.

The democrats really cant see this coming.

SOCIALISM!

BOO!

The happiness nation in the world is a so called socialist hellscape where college is free, healthcare is a right and they bonus to each employee $8000 per year to take a vacation with and there is rarely if ever a mass shooting.

Such a hellscape.

My guess is Trump will deport the Muslim, and place NYC under Federal management.

For our safety.

Hey boaz, maybe you should concern yourself with the unAmerican direction and constitution shredding actions of maga on the national level before whining bout a mayoral candidate in a city you'll probably never go to.

Decades ago in NYC, security contractors affiliated with the Nation of Islam were booted out of federal contracts because of alleged antisemitism. The young men of the Fruit of Islam (FOI) were all lean, polite karate practitioners who did not smoke or drink. Everybody felt safe in those housing projects with them as their sentinels. I used to buy bean pies from them in Brooklyn. AIPAC losing NYC means lucrative contracts won't be going to Israeli-affiliated security firms. This is yet another reason why AIPAC wants to torpedo poor Zohran Mamdani.

Hey Bo-Ass - keep your ignorant backwoods ass out of New York. We don't need your kind there.

Here is another reason why AIPAC, with the nefarious aid and abettance of turncoat Democrats like odious and noxious Andrew Cuomo, Chuck Schumer, and Kirsten Gillibrand, want to destroy NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani. As Mayor of the Big Apple, Mamdani would have power to appoint whom he pleases as Chancellor of CUNY, the largest public university system in the US: nypost.com

Who is in charge of NYC or the US, Americans or Israelis?

Jesse Jackson (in)famously called NYC "Hymietown."

I guess we are about to find out if The Reverend was right about that!

Jack Ciattarelli's Chances of Beating Mikie Sherrill in New Jersey: Polls
www.newsweek.com

... Jack Ciattarelli is unlikely to beat Representative Mikie Sherrill in the race to become the next governor of New Jersey, according to a new poll.

The poll, conducted for the American Principles Project (APP) by Cygnal, showed Sherrill with a 7 percentage point lead against her Republican rival some five months before Election Day. ...

Seven point lead? While that lead can change in four or five months, are the odds against it?
