A United Nations panel issued a Wednesday decision condemning hate speech from President Trump and raising concerns with his administration's immigration policies. The U.N. Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination warned that hate speech from political leaders, including Trump, combined with intensified immigration crackdowns near schools, hospitals and faith-based institutions, has sparked "grave human rights violations."

The panel wrote that derogatory and dehumanizing language fosters intolerance and may incite racial discrimination, hate crimes and hate speech, particularly on the internet and social media, noting it was deeply concerned about the insufficient measures to prevent and address racist hate speech.

"This United Nations assessment is just as useless as their broken escalator, and their extreme bias continues to prove why no one takes them seriously," White House spokesperson Olivia Wales told The Hill in response to the decision, citing the president's accomplishments on public safety.

"No one cares what the biased United Nations' so-called experts' think, because Americans are living in a safer, stronger country than ever before," she added, noting the crime rate was at a 125-year low. ...
