"Tonks" is a derogatory term US Border Patrol agents have used, reportedly derived from the sound a heavy item like a flashlight makes when they strike a migrant's skull.
Interchange the slurs "tonk" or "wet" with the words "Jew," "kaffir," "n___," or "-------."
Confessed one ICE agent: ""We're [still] doing the same thing [as "Operation at Large"] just with a different name."
ICE agent text: "Yeah, just plug us in wherever you see some tonks and we'll jump out."
Another ICE agent text: "Tonks everywhere selling food."
US Border Patrol agent bodycam footage: "There was a guy, I'm pretty sure he's wet he was just sitting in that minivan."
