Here in Okiehomie the solution to be offered will be for all these fired federal workers to become school teachers--with much lower pay and societal status. The solution those laid off workers find will be to leave the state for greener pastures...

Ah, my district is in deep purple, and the Democrat barely won an open seat in November. Former rep (D) will be running for governor this year. Look for Virginia's gubernatorial race to be in the news as a bellwether state for what people think about the current unpleasantness.

Republicans are apathetic and only care when it affects them.
The real question is, has the Musk /Trump administration hurt republican voters enough for them to start caring.
