...The Department of the Air Force, which includes the Space Force, announced Thursday it was scrapping the prohibition on pronouns as part of updated guidance on one of President Donald Trump's executive orders -- titled "Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government" -- that aimed to deny legal recognition of nonbinary and transgender people.

The news release said the "directive to cease the use of 'preferred pronouns' (he/him, she/her, or they/them) to identify one's gender identity in professional communications (email signature blocks, memoranda, letters, papers, social media, official websites and any [Department of the Air Force] official correspondence) is rescinded." ...

Does this conflict with the Executive Order dictated by the Commander in Chief?

US federal workers ordered to remove pronouns from email signatures (January 2025)
www.theguardian.com

... Several federal government websites went dark while others were edited to remove mentions of gender on Friday evening as agencies scrambled to meet a deadline to scrub their websites, emails and contracts of "gender ideology".

The office of personnel management also directed agencies to disband employee resource groups, terminate grants and contracts related to the issue and replace the term "gender" with "sex" on government forms.

By Friday evening, the Federal Aviation Administration and the Census Bureau websites went dark. Navigating to the websites turned up blank pages that said: "The page you're looking for was not found." Other agencies took down or altered specific websites. The Bureau of Prisons renamed a website titled "inmate gender" to "inmate sex" and no longer included a list of trans inmates. ...

Is the Air Force provoking a Constitutional crisis?

I wish I knew.

The --------- pretend to believe in freedom, especially freedom of speech but had no problem denying it to transgender people! Clue to them, if you can deny freedom to one group then you don't actually believe in freedom.

Telling people they can't put them in is dumb... and for most people putting them in is performative.

"Telling people they can't put them in is dumb..."

99 out 100 things that Trumpy and his maga maroons say or do are in the best case dumb, and in the worst case are criminally negligent.

I don't really see the purpose of pronouns,
When we could just do this:

Yes, but telling strangers what they have to do, is the only way conservatives can make sense of the world.

True freedom, like choosing your own gender, is so alien to conservative that it terrifies them.
Absolutely terrifies them to the point they are convinced society will collapse if we give people that amount of freedom.

Showing respect for another human being is dumb? Well then color me dumb and I won't be intimidated by --------- into disrespecting people who don't adhere to their narrowminded worldview.

It's past time for EVERYONE to start loudly saying F*** you to Trump

#10 Your saying that we should be compelled to how we refer to ourselves... if I don't want my email sig to have my pronouns, why should I be forced to? That shows respect exactly how? Why do I need to be intimidated into an action to make someone else feel better?

"if I don't want my email sig to have my pronouns, why should I be forced to?"

If you do want your email sig to have your pronouns, why should it be forbidden?

Because that's what Trump was doing, and that's the mistake the Air Force is correcting here.

"Why do I need to be intimidated into an action to make someone else feel better?"

Because you're an ------- who can't behave like a decent human being unless you're required to?

"That shows respect exactly how?"

So according to you, there's no disrespect whether if I call you "Sir" or "Little Missy."
