The other part of the story is that 1) Most Americans wouldn't want these toxic-related jobs; 2) those poor workers were subjected to to those toxic chemicals (like formaldehyde) 24/7 if they weren't allowed to leave the factory. Their health may have been seriously impacted.

The undocumented immigrants come here looking for a better life.

Companies actively hire them because of two things...

1) they work for lower wages than Americans citizens are willing to work for.

2) they work for lower benefits that Americans citizens are entitled to.

For example of (1), why do companies, e.g., Iowan meat packing plants, give the jobs to undocumented immigrants instead of American citizens? Those immigrants are not taking the jobs from Americans, companies are giving the jobs to the undocumented immigrants instead of Americans.

Then there's (2)... the undocumented immigrants tend not to complain about unsafe working conditions because, well, they are undocumented and cannot start a legal battle about working conditions.
