"The National Baseball Hall of Fame has always maintained that anyone removed from Baseball's permanently ineligible list will become eligible for Hall of Fame consideration," Clark said in the statement. "Major League Baseball's decision to remove deceased individuals from the permanently ineligible list will allow for the Hall of Fame candidacy of such individuals to now be considered.

Hmmmmm....I don't know about this one.

Rose was guilty and lied for years....but damn what a ball player.

THE ROCKET has been unofficially left off but he was even better..

records provide plenty of arguments that he should be HOF and did they

really prove he was doing roids.....I don't know...but his record is

on a par with the ryan express....exceot for strike outs....when a old pitcher

hits 3000 K's it's a celebration and almost automatic member of the hOF

....but they're still 2,724 behind the "express

This is a disgrace. They waited until he died to reinstate him. What a travesty.

" They waited until he died to reinstate him"

They were ALWAYS going to wait until he died to induct him.

That was the whole point of the "lifetime" ban.

He was a $#!+head, and I support the decision to only allow him in posthumously

This just means he's off the ineligible list. Nothing more.

Clemens
Bonds
McGwire

none of those guys were banned or on some list yet none of them are getting in the HOF.

The same people who believe those guys I listed above shouldn't go in....are they going to allow Rose and/or Jackson in?

The voters for the HOF are still the same

-THE ROCKET has been unofficially left off but he was even better..

He clearly is qualified to be in by any measurable factor....but he won't get the votes.

So this is a nice gesture on MLB's part....but I don't think it will matter.

Baseball Hall of Fame is awesome for allowing broadcasters to be represented along with the athletes.
