Be wary of those rationalizing that destroying Iran will help the Ukrainians in their struggle against Russia. Of course that will be the case, since the Kremlin will lose one more supplier of weapons, like the Shaheed drone.

But for three years, Belarus, North Korea, China, India, Myanmar, Mali, and Eritrea have also supported Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine. North Korean soldiers have been killed fighting for Russia. India indirectly finances the Kremlin's military by increased oil and gas imports, like China has been doing since Feb 2022.

But with the exception of Iran, there is no attempt by the rightwing at persuading the American audience to attack any of these other Russian allies. Why? Because none of these countries directly threaten Israel militarily like Iran, one of the few voices in the Middle East fighting against the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank.

Nuclear-armed North Korea, like Israel, did not sign the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), unlike Iran which did. Tel Aviv and Pyongyang do not cooperate with the IAEA. Tehran cooperated under the JCPOA and IAEA until Dotard Trumpf tore up the agreement. The real nuclear proliferation threat come from North Korea and Israel, but who is discussing changing those regimes?
