... Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.)"part of a group of Democrats who had strongly opposed the bill"further warned Thursday that the GENIUS Act prevents lawmakers from owning or promoting stablecoins, but not the president. Trump and his family have allegedly made more than a billion dollars through their crypto ventures, and Waters is concerned that the law will make it easier for Trump and other presidents to use the office to grift and possibly even obscure foreign bribes.

"By passing this bill, Congress will be telling the world that Congress is OK with corruption, OK with foreign companies buying influence," Waters said Thursday, CBS News reported. ...

Yeah, but, why?

... "By passing this bill, Congress will be telling the world that Congress is OK with corruption, OK with foreign companies buying influence," Waters said Thursday, CBS News reported.

Rainmakers - The Wages of Sin (1987)

Lyrics excerpt ...

...
I was praying last night when an angel broke the line
She said "I'm gonna have to put you on hold for a time"
I said "Hold like ----, let me talk to the Boss"
She said "Sorry sucker (sinner), it's the Boss's day off"
And I realized then that the wages of sin
Was two bucks an hour and working weekends

I was ignoring the thief who was lashed to the cross
He cried "Help me get this ----------- off"
I said "I would if I could, I can't so I won't
Well I wouldn't want you messing your hair up, so don't"
And I realized then that the wages of sin
Was all the lumber you can carry, all the nails you can bend

The wages of sin, the reward of fear
Is worrying and fretting every second of the year
If Heaven is guilt, no sex and no show
Then I'm not sure if I really want to go, Oh

This man is by far more corrupt than all the other members of the US government combined from 1776 to now!

Pump and dump city...I am sure the crypto people are thrilled, as more and more dollars chase crypto cons, the profits go up, and the dollar weakens.
