National Weather Service at 'breaking point' as Storm Approaches

The Trump administration's significant budget cuts to the National Weather Service have pushed the agency "to its limits," according to a new report from the Washington Post, leaving many experts to fear that the agency may very well be unable to perform its most basic functions.

A tropical storm or hurricane, to be named Imelda, is forecast to approach the southeastern United States early next week -- with the Carolinas at greatest risk for significant impacts including flooding rain, damaging winds and storm surge.
