Meanwhile, Canadian travel to the US continues plummeting. In 2024, Canadian tourists vacationing in the US spent $20.5bn. In the first six months of 2025, Canadian travel to the US was down 24% overall. The protracted decline is part of a larger overall drop in international tourists, driving a projected economic loss of up to $29bn compared to what US tourism officials had expected at the beginning of the year. The US Treasury Department reports that the Republican-led government shutdown is costing the US economy $15 billion a week and JP Morgan warned that America is "going broke slowly." For the last 60 years have been wearing Canadian flags when travelling abroad. That says it all.

#4 - Do you think that actually makes you safer, or is it just a political statement?

I would think that wearing any type of flag could attract unwanted attention when traveling abroad, or even domestically.
