Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

A source close to the White House expects President Donald Trump to fire Attorney General Pam Bondi or FBI Director Kash Patel following the midterm elections.

On Friday, Daily Signal correspondent Tony Kinnett told Real America's Voice that Bondi had "backed herself into this corner" due to her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case. Several MAGA influencers were duped when Bondi invited them to the White House in February, promising new information on Epstein.

"Is it just a matter of time before Pam Bondi is shown the door?" Real America's Voice host David Brody asked the correspondent during the Friday interview.

Shriekback - Nemesis (1985)
www.youtube.com

Lyrics excerpt ...

...
Quoting directly from Shriekback's blog:

The seed idea was simply the notion that one could make a deliberate moral choice to do evil rather than good (you may recall the scene where Colonel Kurtz talks about the Viet Cong soldiers hacking off the arms of the Vietnamese children who had been innoculated by the Americans: I thought, my God, the genius of that ... understand that these men were not monsters ... they had wives, families, they fought with their hearts ... yet they had the strength ... the strength to do that'.) .

[Verse]
In a jungle of the senses
Tinkerbell and Jack the Ripper
Love has no meaning, not where they come from
But we know pleasure is not that simple

Very little fruit is forbidden
Sometimes we wobble, sometimes we're strong
But you know evil is an exact science
Being carefully, correctly wrong

[Chorus]
Priests and cannibals, prehistoric animals
Everybody happy as the dead come home
Big black nemesis, parthenogenesis
No one move a muscle as the dead come home

[Verse]
We feel like Greeks, we feel like Romans
Centaurs and monkeys just cluster 'round us
We drink elixirs that we refine
From the juices of the dying

We are no monsters, we're moral people
And yet we have the strength to do this
This is the splendour of our achievement
Call in the airstrike with a poison kiss

...

[Verse]
How bad it gets, you can't imagine
The burning wax, the breath of reptiles
God is not mocked, He knows our business
Karma could take us at any moment

Cover him up, I think we're finished
You know it's never been so exotic
But I don't know, my dreams are vicious
We could still end up with the great big fishes
...

MAGAnut speculating on 'after 2026 Midterms', but Trump apparently is not happy with his Loyalists f-ing up everything they touch, especially the Pedostein/Trump Files.

But hey, Trumpy was giving Mamdani a hand job in the WH today, so who knows what he might do?

At some point, Pres Trump may realize (or not, maybe I give him too much credit) that loyalty is not an indication of competence.

Let me say that again ...

Loyalty is not an indication of competence.

DJT is actually way behind schedule; he's usually fired several Cabinet Members, some lawyers and a couple of Generals by now in his term.

That Nobel Attempt is taking up all of his time.

He's holding Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan on deck. Elon is still on probation.

Looks that way.

But that then begs the question ...

Why did Pres Trump choose her for the position?

I found this ...

Trump says he is appointing Lindsey Halligan, one of his former attorneys, to lead key prosecutor's office (September 2025)
abcnews.go.com

... Trump made the announcement in a series of posts on his social media platform, saying the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia needed a "tough prosecutor" in order "to get things moving."

The post went on to say: "What we don't need is a Democrat Endorsed 'Republican.' I will be nominating Lindsey Halligan to be the United States Attorney in this very important part of our Great Country. She will be Fair, Smart, and will provide, desperately needed, JUSTICE FOR ALL!"

The announcement came a day after the previous head of that office, Erik Siebert, resigned his position amid pressure from Trump administration officials to bring a criminal case against New York Attorney General Letitia James.

Halligan, who does not have any prosecutorial experience, is licensed to practice law in Florida and handled insurance claims when she joined Trump's legal team amid the probe by the Justice Department into Trump's handling of classified material after leaving office following his first term. ...
