Why It Matters

Maintaining a strong approval rating among all groups, including suburban voters, will be important for Trump as the GOP approaches the November 2026 midterms and seeks to protect its slim majority in the House of Representatives and Senate.

While he is not on the ballot, these elections are seen as a way for voters to cast their judgment on how well Trump and the administration is doing and so his polling can have huge ramifications on the Republican Party. ...

He seems to want to talk about his historic accomplishments as the first year of his term winds down ...
