The arrests of more than 4,500 people in a mission, the Department of Homeland Security said targeted "the worst of the worst." The reality is that most of them were people with brown skin who were at the right place -- their landscaping jobs, the hardware store, a Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru -- at the wrong time.

What happened here for more than two months is unlike anything in recent American history: the federal government sending agents dressed for war into neighborhoods of the country's third-largest city to arrest mostly people who look Latino and to ask questions later. To target people largely on the basis of their skin color, on the presumption that they may be in the country without documentation, or that they may have a criminal record, or an association with a gang.

The disgusting------------- did that.

I've been to the Windy City twice in the past three months--a great American city. The ICE knobs are as hated there as is ketchup on a hot dog, or warm Old Style. The number of "Hands Off Chicago" signs seen last week tell me residents are united against fascism and those who are the tools of that failed political strain...
