I'll never understand the hardworking American taxpayer sending billions of dollars every year to a country that conducts wanton ethnic cleansing in defiance of the UN and the civilized world.

Worse, Israel is a wealthy, nuclear-armed country and doesn't need US funding. Israel offers universal world class healthcare to all its residents (unlike the US), enjoys a social security system ranked at "B+" (compared to America which is ranked lower at "C+"), and has a GNI of $52,940, almost exactly on par with wealthy Germany at $54,960.

No wonder Israelis are in the top ten according to the Global Happiness Index (GHI), unlike Americans who rank 24th because amongst many things they suffer medical bankruptcies every year and are subject to a brutal police state under the nefarious Trumpf junta.

From Gaza City, the late Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat donated blood for victims of the 9/11 al-Qaida attack on the US, condemning the "horrible attack" on America.

"We are donating our humble abilities to [President Bush] and to the American people," Arafat said at Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

Arafat, one of hundreds of Palestinians who participated in the blood drive, smiled as doctors drew blood from his right arm. Blood donations were to be passed on to US officials.

Asked if he had a message for the American people, Arafat said in English: "God bless you, God bless you, God bless you."
