The scale of the cuts at the Washington Post last week, coupled with the lack of any sense of a strategy other than retreat, is beyond demoralizing, David Remnick writes. newyorkermag.visitlink.me/QxBcFb[image or embed] -- The New Yorker (@newyorker.com) Feb 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM

This makes for a Sad day, I heard about it last week. The Post actually had for the most part good, accurate and fair reporting. They didn't have the issues that the NYTs has been plagued with. Canceling my subscription.

Then Bezos s--tcanned him for attending a Super Bowl party in SF right after firing the Sports staff at WaPo. His hatchet work was done.

you people are, totally unsurprisingly grossly uninformed.
this entire collapse has to do with BEZOS wanting wapo to become real journalism and cover more than just the radical leftist zealot position on everything.
----it began when Senator Tom Cotton ( R, Arkansas) was asked to do an opt-ed and the radical zealot lying scum just couldn't stand for anything so "american" and "journalistic"

Best way to get journalism is to fire all the journalists and writers. Ask Fox News. Just do opinion fluff without any actual facts. Who needs news when you have people like Shrimp?
