Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

There has been another successful ditching of a plane on the Hudson River. This one is much smaller and only had two passengers but they ditched the plane at night 200 ft off the shore in a section of the Hudson that had active ice in it and they swam to shore in that condition.

Yup.

Among that training --- stay rational under adverse circumstances, don't panic.

I have a scanner, and I often have listened to the air traffic in the area. What always has amazed me is the calm and rational analysis the pilots have shown in the face of adversity.
