Human Rights Watch (HRW) informs: "Israeli forces have expanded ground operations in southern Lebanon after indicating an intent to forcibly displace residents, destroy civilian homes, and conduct strikes that could target civilians. Forcible displacement, wanton destruction, and attacks deliberately targeting civilians are war crimes. Countries that continue to provide Israel with arms and military aid risk complicity in the Israeli government's serious violations in Lebanon."

The death toll in Lebanon from the illegal Israeli invasion of Lebanon has surpassed 1,000 people and displaced nearly one million (~20% of Lebanon's population), creating a severe humanitarian crisis. The IDF began destroying bridges over the Litani River in order to annex southern Lebanon: Israel Expanding

Since 1948, the peace-loving, hardworking American taxpayer has sent Israel, a prosperous nuclear-armed country with world class universal healthcare for its residents and a better ranked social security system than the US, $317.9B , the most US economic aid given to any country in the world. International arrest warrants for war crimes issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) at the Hague remain active for Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and former IDF General Yoav Gallant. In addition, the Istanbul Public Prosecutor in Turkiye issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and 30 other suspected Israeli war criminals.

INTERPOL Red Notices have been internationally diffused for these dangerous fugitives from justice. Any government can arrest them based on "universal jurisdiction." In 1960, the Israeli Mossad abducted mass murderer Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann in Argentina for crimes he committed in Europe for which he was then tried, convicted, and executed in Israel, a country that did not exist when the war crimes were perpetrated.

Indictments are merely allegations. To ensure a fair trial, Messrs Netanyahu and Gallant must both be presumed innocent until they are proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt at an international tribunal to be held for them in the Hague at future dates.

The US midterm elections are on Tuesday 3 Nov 2026.

Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu is responsible for the deaths of people in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Iran, Yemen, and Syria, in numbers exponentially greater than the amount of people killed by the late al-Qaida mastermind Usama Bin Laden who orchestrated the 9/11 attacks against the US. "

Intends?

IDF is a terrorist organization.

They have been committing war crimes for 60 years.

Based on previous and current behavior, the IDF's primary job is to terrorize people. It's secondary job is to lie about it.

Hi Doc Sarvis:

There are many Israeli military veterans speaking up about the atrocities they have either perpetrated or witnessed and several youngsters refused to be inducted into the IDF.

This is quite similar to our 1960s antiwar movement led by Vietnam War veterans like Ron Kovic or John Kerry.

Israeli lawyers are doing their utmost best to defend Palestinians in kangaroo courts, as well as protecting their human rights in Gaza and the West Bank.

Sadly, the smartest man in the room-- a Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and Oxford graduate; former Special Forces officer-- served with an excellent intelligence apparatus in the Middle East-- knows exactly what's going on but is powerless to do anything about Israeli war crimes, the invasion of Lebanon, the massive refugee problem, or the terrible leaders that plague his neighborhood.

Coriolanus -

Your point on Kovic and Kerry well put. The anti war movement eventually generated so much fuel in part because the participation of returning troops helped in the legitimacy department. They'd been there, many complicit in horrors, and they were really angry.

I think it was probably 1966 when I went to a friend whose dad was an intel officer with the 101st Airborne at Fort Campbell, KY. En route, I recall being in an airport bathroom (probably Nashville), talking with four uniformed Black soldiers sitting/standing along a wall, drinking some wine. They invited me to join them, which I did, and, boy, were they in a collective bad mood: orders to Vietnam. But what really got them going was the final solution to their sergeant problem. This sergeant, who every time they were out and about maneuvering and such got them "killed." Every time. They planned to toss a grenade at him in Vietnam in an act of self-preservation. Yeah, the wine, bad news talking, and so forth. But the fragging idea was already kicking around, even that early (pre-Tet).

"In the late 1960s, a new Second Lieutenant (platoon leader) in combat had an incredibly low life expectancy, often cited as roughly two weeks to 30 days.

Within an active firefight, some reports indicated it could be as low as seven seconds. They faced higher risks because they were top targets for enemy snipers."

My Draft number was something like 35 back then. I messed up and did well enough on the testing to go into Officer Training for like 6 weeks I think it would have been, and then been dropped into the Front.

Rumor was that more new Lieutenants were killed by their own men more often than by the Viet Cong; otherwise they would have been killed themselves because of a know-nothing new Officer... don't know if that was true, but I didn't want to find out.

Fortunately, I had an ulnar nerve problem and they weren't sure I could hold a rifle up long enough to use it. They gave me a 6 mo Deferment, and I went to college.

Then, they apparently forgot about me... and I certainly didn't call them. I was a Muhammed Ali liberal back then.

A longtime friend just finished a book about his combat platoon days in Vietnam and sent me a copy on a thumb drive. Quite a bit of fragging of officers went on, according to him, including a butter bar Lt in his unit who was getting a lot of guys killed. My friend was not a participant.

Hi Doc Sarvis:

Great vignette and quite accurate from what my Vietnam veteran friends related to me about douche-bag leaders.

Imagine a NYC Puerto Rican accent, New York-ish, but still Rican, if you can.

An experienced NCO (and US Army Ranger school graduate) advised his crisp, newly-minted white 1LT infantry platoon leader in Saigon: "Sir, if you want to survive this sh*t, you'd better listen to me. If you're here to get a medal, I'll pin it on you when you are in the body bag. Sir."

Apparently the 1LT took his advice during combat operations and the two remained friends after the war.

Another (incredible) story I heard from those same Vietnam veterans involved smuggling weapons and drugs in and out of the warzone and into the US. The scheme seemed to fantastic for me to believe since I was a young inexperienced lad soon to join the US military.

Decades later I saw this film and my jaw dropped, hitting my lap with a thud: image.tmdb.org
