... He said he's spoken to Rupert Murdoch, media mogul and chair emeritus of Fox Corp. and News Corp., over the polls. "Rupert Murdoch has promised me for years he's going to get rid of your pollster, but he doesn't do it," he said. "I don't get it, but your Fox polls are terrible." Trump and Murdoch have been on rocky terms over The Wall Street Journal, which is owned by News Corp., publishing a provocative birthday message the president allegedly sent to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in 2003. The president is suing the Journal for $10 billion for defamation over the letter's publishing last summer. In a Truth Social post at the time, he called the Journal a "disgusting and filthy rag" and said Murdoch was "personally" warned that the letter was fake. But the New York Post reported earlier this month that Trump taped a surprise birthday message video for Murdoch, calling him "legendary" and "one of a kind." ...

Well, but even with that 41% approval, Pres Trump is under water...

@#5 ... Well, but even with that 41% approval, Pres Trump is under water... ...
... and that seems to be what has gotten Pres Trump's goat.
Is Pres Trump telling Mr Murdoch to "fix" the polls that Fox News publishes, so that the polls are more adulating of Pres Trump?
And, why did Pres trump seem to call only Mr Murdoch? What about the other polls that show Pres Trump's dismal (my opinion) approval rating? Will Pres Trump try to control those polls next?

You can only shine a turd so much. You can only apply so much lipstick on a pig.
Tells you how badly he's doing that even an overestimation by his sycophants can only come in at 41%. My guess is 39% or 40% holds some magic sway in political polling land...

Benchmark Brent crude is already up another 3+% in the futures market. Over $115 bbl. WTI is also up 3.5%.
I expect his poll numbers will continue to drop like a lead balloon filled with tariffs and self-inflicted war inflation.

imo, there's going to be a bottom to how low they can sink.
I'm thinking somewhere in the 30% to 35% range. At that point, the adulation of the MAGA base starts to take over, and prevents the numbers from dropping further.
More important to e are the non-MAGA demographics that Pres Trump seems to be losing the support of.
