Green Party leader Zack Polanski, a real mensch, is a Jew whose family fled the Holocaust. He signed an open letter to Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood and Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper urging them to "track the movements of [~2,000] Brits who have served in the IDF" and "subject them to secondary screening where necessary at ports of entry."

The letter called for "robust war crimes investigations in line with domestic and international law."

Or if surviving Palestinian witnesses or IDF veterans feeling guilty are able to testify against the Britons.

That would make the work for Scotland Yard or the Serious Crimes Office (SCO) a bit easier.

Note that Ukrainian war crimes investigators are overwhelmed by Russian atrocities and they have been documenting them since the Feb 2022 invasion. The Kiev prosecutor's office estimates that it will take years to sort through everything to at least identify the alleged war criminals.

Prosecuting the IDF soldiers will be much harder and longer since the tiny Palestinian police force was wiped out, along with 262 journalists who were documenting atrocities and taking photographs since 7 Oct 2023.
