BTW: Last century when I was working at the NYC bookstore, like you, I had to tear the covers off paperbacks to get a refund for the unsold copies. I could keep any ruined book.

But I didn't have the heart to tear the gilded cover off The Jackal Helix by Gloria Vitanza Basile, so I dropped a shekel or two on it and kept this paperback for over three decades.

Her espionage/conspiracy tome was not too bad and this may have been a "one-hit wonder" for this authoress.

During this three hour podcast, JD Vance discussed the reckless war being fought against Iran on Israel's behalf.

"Members of the satanic Netanyahu junta are funding campaigns aimed at undermining US negotiations with Iran and influencing American public opinion in an effort to prolong the war "indefinitely."

Vance cited a Time magazine investigation that revealed Israeli authorities had paid Dummkopf Trumpf's former campaign manager and digital strategist Brad Parscale to lead a high-budget influence operation targeting US conservatives.

"There are some people within their system, we know beyond a shadow of a doubt, who are manipulating and trying
to change American public opinion to keep the war going on indefinitely," Vance said.

He further insisted that the US "will not send 150,000 ground troops to achieve regime change" in Iran.

Earlier in June, Vance lashed out at Israeli opponents of the Iran deal, saying Trumpf was Israel's only ally, in a sharp rebuke that referenced the billions of dollars in US military and economic aid provided to Israel which allows them to fund a world class universal healthcare system while ethnically cleansing Gaza and the West Bank."
