Ukrainian drone operators showed their superiority over U.S. Army forces during a major exercise in Germany this spring, exposing how the war in Ukraine has transformed the modern battlefield and is forcing the Pentagon to rethink how it trains, equips, and funds its military, The Wall Street Journal reported. Ukrainian troops from the battle-tested 412th Regiment of Unmanned Systems Forces, known as Nemesis, effectively eliminated a U.S. armored brigade during the Combined Resolve exercise in April and May. Roughly 3,500 American personnel, primarily from the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, participated.
