This isn't the Rodney King Riots. This isn't BLM riots. This really is a confined area protest with limited bad actors.

The Concorde had the same problems even in Europe - so try again. The Sonic Booms limited them to Trans Oceanic flights only.

While there are ways to lessen the noise, I don't know how many are practical and to what extent it can be dissipated. If the booms happen near maximum cruising altitude (in the upper 40ks feet), it lessens the noise level but spreads it over a wider area. Nobody is going to build the Quiet Spike version of an airliner either since it is not practical.

What a bunch of bunk and lies as normal from Jr. There are and will always be conflicts of interest. True experts doing research are who the panel members were from the ones I checked out. They worked at Universities. Honestly yes they probably had current or past research at least partially funded by corporations. Everything he is criticizing - guess what tRump and Co did? They cut government funded research so where does one get people without corporate influence now? We should double down on government research if not triple down. Then it belongs to we the people - when done properly.

To expand on that, I know people with Polish flags. Does that mean they want to be part of Poland? Seriously...

Sorry, but a (singular) motorcyclist waiving the Mexican flag is a protestor. What is he instigating? What are his feelings? You clearly have assigned some. What are people agreeing with?

Who feels that California should be part of Mexico again?
What about the rest of the Southwest that was part of Mexico? You know like Texass.

Agreed it is about the semantics. Pull out a mirror. When the police seek to force crowds of protestors to disperse and create conflict - what do you expect to happen? When the actions of tag alongs or worse yet plants looking to start trouble do create it, what do you expect? The police don't target them - it is just the excuse they use to go after the whole protest. I don't agree with things like shutting down expressways but honestly, so be it. Protest is most effective when it is seen, heard and felt.

I am 100% against vandalism and looting but then I think back to the Boston Tea Party. The tradition is older than the country itself.

As we seen with the George Floyd Protests in Minnesota all it takes is very few planted instigators to change a protest to a riot. The protestors as stated need to be on the lookout for and shutdown the instigators.

I don't think you will find a left leaning poster here that will say heads of agencies didn't have biases in the past. Everyone has biases and in general Democrats sought good people to lead Federal agencies. I will say that prior to 2016 even the GOP did. I will say that in general, the Democrats appoint people who's goal is the betterment of the US, enforcement of laws and the protection of the Constitution. When it comes to the GOP that slope has been sliding since Nixon though. But because people have a different perspective doesn't mean either side is wrong. In fact Democrats and posters here in general are not afraid to call out questionable decision by Democrat leadership. And let's face it bad decisions happen. It's not necessarily evidence of some grand collusion against Americans. You know what, we even know that sometimes they seek to mislead us on something for some reason.

That said, MAGA Republicans are seeking to DESTROY the government from within. Period. They want to burn it ALL down. They are seeking to destroy all faith in us Institutions that while flawed have overall done the work of the people for a very long time. They see boogeymen where there are none and their leader helps create them with fictitious and outlandish lies sometimes on a minute by minute basis. And the MAGA sheep gobble them up without question. I have never in all my years (I feel old saying that) seen so much easily disproved trash taken as gospel and repeated over and over by either side as we have seen since Obama was elected and the GOP lost its collective mind fully. And it has escalated EVERY SINGLE YEAR. Y'all have so much fear and hate rotting your brains it is a wonder you can get out of bed - that's probably the hate over powering the fear though. The right is like a paranoid schizophrenic with an arsenal of nukes right now - which is literally true. If you can't see that - baaaaah.

Spent more time with AI in the last month than I cared to. We are talking about the things we want out of it as a company but they executives can't grasp we need data governance first. If you feed it tons of flawed data you are going to get flawed results.

It's a tool but it has a long way to go in general. Just look at Google's search results when you start to investigate something. At least half the time the AI generated content is way off.
