Former FBI agent and Donald Trump foe, Peter Strzok, spoke to legal analyst Allison Gill on her "Clean-up on Aisle 45" podcast Wednesday, discussing Don Hankey " the man whose insurance company helped Trump secure a fraud case bond. Hankey is the CEO of Knight Specialty Insurance Company, which agreed to bond Trump as he appealed the verdict in his fraud trial. That's when Strzok dropped the bomb on Hankey: "And the guy " an absolute scumbag. Just the lowest of the low." He cited a Daily Beast report that revealed Hankey had been sued by the Department of Justice for violating the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act by loaning military members money, and then illegally repossessing their cars.

According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, 53-year-old Brian Ormes was booked Monday night on charges of first-degree strangulation, menacing and fourth-degree assault. Ormes is running in the GOP primary for House District 67, which encompasses most of the city of Newport, just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati. The district is currently represented by Rep. Rachel Roberts, who is the second highest-ranking Democrat in the Kentucky legislature. Roberts is not seeking reelection, making the seat far more competitive in the upcoming election. While details of the alleged crime are scarce, Ormes was ordered to not contact the alleged victim as part of his bond agreement from Kenton County District Court, and to "stay out of all Walmarts" in order to remain in compliance with the court.

When George Riley Jr.'s family reported him missing last week, the 43-year-old Florida Republican Party executive director was hiding out in a local Hampton Inn, laying waste to everything within reach. That's according to a police report obtained by the Tampa Bay Times, which said Riley, 43, was thrown out of the hotel on Wednesday thanks to his "extensive drinking and damage caused to the room." Hotel employees said Riley had "urinated and vomited throughout," trashed the room's electric blinds, and was charged an additional fee for a deep cleaning to try and undo the mess.

A Republican hoping to represent Michigan in the U.S. Senate suffered a setback to his campaign this week after facing allegations that he lives in Florida. Former Congressman Mike Rogers, who has made much of his local roots in a bid to win over voters, faced backlash online after the staff of Democrat rival Elissa Slotkin released information on X, formerly Twitter, apparently proving he is still registered to vote in the Sunshine State.
