My thought, based upon what we know about them so far, is that both Trump and Epstein thought that their ability to sexually abuse young girls was an ultimate mark of their personal power and proof of how very special they both were.

By the way, I agree with Bill Maher here: Trump hasn't stopped. The man is depraved, and there's no evidence that he recognises moral boundaries or exercises self-control.

2) A military defeat

3) Something very bad and impoverishing related to the economy (in progress)

4) More than one gruesome airline crash.

Donald Trump and his people aren't interested in competence. They are interested in the appearance of competence. They want to be treated as geniuses without putting in the work. When reality rises its ugly head to they create some fiction to blame.

Trump's administration will be, and has been, a series of disasters. Of which the Epstein pigsty is the worst for Trump because it is so damned believable given his character and history. It'd also worse for Trump because it involves his corrupt rear end directly and isn't something like a lot a dead school girls in a flood whom he never cared for when they were still alive.
