And just for the record. I am against both transing children, and allowing trans people to participate in gender specific sports at a high level. As far as restrooms go. The problem could easily be solved by installing stalls that provide a reasonable level of privacy. Almost ALL of this is a relatively small problem that you ------ have turned into a hugely divisive political football.

As of 2022 there were more than 15 million vacant residential units in the US.
In 2023 there were supposedly less than 1 million homeless people.

Given those numbers, please explain how immigrants are cause for any part of the so-called housing shortage.

I would agree with most of that comment. Except, I would say that Democrats were just as culpable in creating a system that does nothing to improve the affordability or quality of healthcare for average consumers, while lining the pockets of the industry and its shareholders.

If they had genuinely intended to begin improving the system. The ACA would have at least included an optional single-payer component where anyone could participate. ...I know.. I know.. They didn't have the votes...

I do agree though that Republicans significantly undermined the law. Especially by doing away with the individual mandate, while retaining the employer mandate.

I have no problem with requiring voter ID, which should include proof of citizenship. But there's absolutely NO reason to do away with early and mail-in voting. Unless of course you're trying to intimidate the electorate at the ballot box.

I don't think most people believe that at all. But the two systems should/would have entirely different motives for doing so. Private insurance does it to maximize profits. And as has been reported by multiple sources, they often do so without an corresponding rational. ..And I remember when the right was screaming at the top of their lungs about government run "death panels"

Properly run UHC should be doing so to manage waste in the system, but not to supplement anyone's bottom line.

Why don't you tell us why healthcare in the US is twice as expensive per-capita as almost every other developed nation?

Ain't that a shame.

I have nothing against opinion. But freedom of speech should not protect speech that is verifiably false and will cause harm. As pointed out above, your position would even give someone like Alex Jones a pass.

Sadly, since infrastructure work takes time, a lot of the benefits of Pres Biden's work to get the bill enacted won't be seen for years.
