Keeping in mind ...

In news deserts, Trump won in a landslide (December 5, 2024)
localnewsinitiative.northwestern.edu

... Donald Trump won the 2024 election with one of the smallest popular-vote margins in U.S. history, but in news deserts " counties lacking a professional source of local news " it was an avalanche. Trump won 91% percent of these counties over his Democratic rival, Kamala Harris, according to an analysis of voting data by Medill Journalism School's State of Local News project.
...
While Trump's national popular-vote margin was just under 1.5%, his margin in news deserts was massive. He won these counties by an average of 54 percentage points. In the few won by Harris, her margin was a comparatively slim 18 points, the analysis shows.

The findings are based on results from 193 of the 206 counties Medill has identified as news deserts, in states where county-level election results are currently available. The third annual State of Local News report, released by Medill's Local News Initiative in October, documented the continuing decline of local news across the country, as measured by the number of newspapers, circulation, frequency of publication, employment and readership.

The report found that the highest concentration of counties with limited access to local news were in solidly "red" states, such as Texas, Kentucky, Arkansas, Idaho, Montana and Mississippi.

In news deserts Trump's biggest margin of victory, in percentage terms, was in tiny King County in north Texas, which he won by 91 points (123 votes). His biggest margin of victory by votes was in Boone, Ky., a suburb of Cincinnati, which he won by 25,000 votes (37 points). Harris' biggest margin by percentage points was in Allendale, S.C., which she won by 45 points (1,352 votes). Allendale is 85 percent Black with a 27 percent poverty rate. Her biggest margin of victory by votes was in Chesterfield, Va., a suburb of Richmond, which she won by 19,000 votes (9 points).

But, how does that inability to communicate turn into Democrats not understanding the American People?

Fair question, if that was the topic.

It's not communication. It's a not understanding that the rest of the nation is not like you. It's a misunderstanding that what you think is important and means alot, doesnt mean alot to the rest of the nation and if you want them to vote for you, you cannot tell them they must be a part of your culture. You cannot be insulting them or laughing at them in social or TV media.

You have to stay away from social issues, if the left hasnt learned anything.

And number 1, stop naming people to try and give the ultimate shame because you think people will be ashamed of being called whatever it is.

Stop calling people nazi's. Stop calling people trans or gay phobes. Stop whitewashing the entire other side of an ideology as wanting to end America. NO one wants that. But we do want to live in a place we feel comfortable in. And for alot of the nation, that's not in a liberal environment.

That's just how I see it. I may not be able to articulate it well, but I surmise alot of other people feel the way I do. You may tag this as "funny", but it's why you lost the election.

"Stop whitewashing the entire other side of an ideology as wanting to end America. NO one wants that."

But of course that's not true. More magical thinking? Emotionally self-protective fantasy?

MAGA wants to see this country burn. The clearest example of that has been (to date) refusal to take basic health precautions in a national emergency.

Let me tell you what is going to happen:

1) Donald and MAGA will fail. Not rocket science, given they fell flat on their face last time.

2) There will be severe economic reverses and people will suffer. Several American interests are already FREAKING OUT about that.

3) Thunsands, I think millions, of Americans will be persecuted politically internally.

4) Donald and MAGA will LIE about the above and effects of above until the truth can no longer be hidden, then REPRESS the popular reaction.

Double-dog bet you. Triple-dob bet you.

Talking about racism is not what causes racism.

We could all lose the ability to communicate right now and racism would probably just get worse. Because those racist ideas are already here. Our country was founded on them. And even embedded them into our constitution.

Racist ideas flourish when "good" people refuse to talk about them.

I said:

But children are not being physically altered. You are lying, as usual.

Where is any significant proof that there is "Deliberate transing of kids"?

And just for the record. I am against both transing children, and allowing trans people to participate in gender specific sports at a high level. As far as restrooms go. The problem could easily be solved by installing stalls that provide a reasonable level of privacy. Almost ALL of this is a relatively small problem that you ------ have turned into a hugely divisive political football.

And it STILL has hardly anything to do with the topic that Boaz brought up. Although, you have certainly demonstrated that you are one of the "trans and/or gay phobes" that Boaz doesn't want called out. Bigot.

I recall that Playboy, I think it was, in the 80's or earlier a cartoon of a really beautiful woman with the Caption: "Yeah, but somewhere some guy is tired of her ----!".

I'm just glad that the Trumper Morality Police are over this tragic situation. It's almost as big as the the Transgender Crisis! of well less than 2 percent of people.

Almost, not quite.

But a it's a huge success as a Misdirection of the Public Eye from their own bank accounts, so the won't notice that that Major Corporations/Billionaires have just bought themselves America's White House for Christmas.

And the People are paying for it, God bless their little hearts! They'll now not only pay off the billionaires share of Tax Cut debt, but now the People will be backing Crypto for the billionaire's losses.

So the Oligarchs can rob them blind without them even noticing because they are arguing about something they already pay Administrators to do; micromanage the details.

"here is any significant proof that there is "Deliberate transing of kids"?"

It was big news that the UK has banned puberty blockers. That they had to take that measure is an indication that it was happening.

Let's not forget about Chloe Cole. Or is she a pariah now?

So, you say this: "And just for the record. I am against both transing children, and allowing trans people to participate in gender specific sports at a high level."

We are both on the same page. But then you follow with this:

"Although, you have certainly demonstrated that you are one of the "trans and/or gay phobes" that Boaz doesn't want called out. Bigot."

What are you even talking about?

We are both on the same page.

We are NOT on the same page. The positions we share have logical reasoning behind them. But I have seen you, like Boaz, hate on all LGBTQ+ people, regardless of age or social participation.
