In an extraordinary press conference last week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) acknowledged that challenges to books in the state's school libraries are out of control.

My current opinion on his change of views...

He proffered those views and those laws when he was trying to gain attention nationally as an alternative to fmr Pres Trump. So, he felt he had to do even more stupid stuff to get the attention of MAGA.

What he didn't know at the time was that the MAGA cult was not concerned about issues, the MAGA cult was only concerned about unfettered adulation of their cult leader, fmr Pres Trump.

Now, Gov DeSantis is realizing he will have to face Florida voters. And he seems to be getting pushback from those voters because of the crazy-stupid stuff he did while he was running for President.
