Shipping tycoon Angela Chao was drunk when she inadvertently reversed her Tesla into a pond and drowned last month at a Texas ranch, police say.
Regarding the inebriation, she wasn't just slightly over the limit:
"An autopsy was not performed due to the family citing religious reasons. Toxicology found that Chao's blood alcohol concentration was 0.233, which, according to the Cleveland Clinic, could cause someone to "experience confusion, vomiting and drowsiness."
According to one calculator I found online, .233% BAC would be about 5 drinks in an hour for a 120 lb female. alcohol.org
Granted, she was still on her own ranch property, so not quite the same as hitting the highway behind the wheel, but still...
