Donald Trump, who claims not to be mentally incompetent, on Thursday appeared to confuse former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown with former California Gov. Jerry Brown in recounting what he characterized as a near-death experience. MAYOR Willie Brown, who is a Black man, denied multiple aspects of Trump's account, including any helicopter ride. A representative for GOVERNOR Jerry Brown, who is a White man, disputed Trump's account of the helicopter ride, saying, "There was no emergency landing and no discussion of Kamala Harris."

"They're both Brown. When one decided to become Brown, I don't know. Someone should look into that."
Turns out that Trump wasn't confusing Jerry Brown with Willie Brown after all. He was confusing Willie Brown with Nate Holden, a former LA city councilman, as confirmed by one of Trump's own former executive who was present when the named helicopter incident actually happened.
