Newspaper Shames Press for Ignoring Trump's 'alarming cognitive decline'

The editorial board of the Philadelphia Inquirer on Thursday is drawing attention to the latest rambling statements by former President Donald Trump and is demanding to know why the media isn't asking more questions about his mental fitness for the presidency.

"He has long spewed lies and conspiracies, but Trump's rantings have become more delusional " underscoring how he can't be trusted with the nation's nuclear launch codes, let alone to manage budgets, unpredictable crises or delicate matters of foreign affairs."

This demented sack of---------- is the best the GQP has to offer. Let that sink in.

#1 I don't know if he is the best. There are certainly other candidates that offer a better vision.

But he has enough dirt on them from Putin to control the party. Installing his low talent daughter in law con artist as head of the RNC is the nail in the coffin of the party.

Her first chore for daddy in law was to make sure he gets a hefty percentage of all donations that would have went down ballot to support candidates.

The hitched their wagon to the old mare...let him drive them off the cliff. They deserve it.

He is the result of GOP destroying the education system and Rush ------- campaign of hatred.

He neutered his party rivals... I can't imagine anyone of them being taken seriously after backing a mad man who's losing it...

They need 8 years and a total regroup. The current line up look like a bunch of poosies.

Trump added a group of rapists to campaign.

New policy advisers same as old policy advisers. DON'T TALK ABOUT PROJECT 2025.

And BTW, (they'll say) get some new material. That old schtick about 2020 and rigged elections is stale. Make up some new lies about how life is going to be so much better when you're elected. People love that hope and change stuff. Promise them the moon and stars.

Get elected first, (they'll say) then there will be time enough to pull the rug out from under the stupid suckers.

New advisors will tell Trump ~ You have to start being nice. Voters don't trust mean people. They think you're going to be mean to them, too. (see Harris campaign) You have to stop sounding so disingenuous and pretend like you really care about them and their problems, including black people and migrants. (see Harris campaign). You to pretend to be understanding of journalist and extend the hand of friendship because they can make or break you. (see Harris campaign). You have to start praising successful women and pretend that they are intracule to the great economy you want to build. Indispensable, even. (see Harris campaign.)

Now we all know that Trump is too undisciplined, hide-bound actually, to carry off all the suggestions of his new advisors. He's probably heard it all before anyway. Of course, a smart person would listen up and invent a whole new Trump to get elected. But people like Trump who court failures like they're of a test of the cunning image he has of himself, will not be that astute.

One party realized their candidate (too late by far, but at least it happened) and talked him into dropping out. Two other parties have done NOTHING about their completely unfit candidate.

That itself should seal the election. But, #America.

I don't think anyone "talked" Joe Biden into anything. He's too experienced for that. They may have agreed with him but I think he knew what he was doing all along. Even the denials

I don't know how long it was in the planning stage, but I call it a well choreographed move. Planned and executed by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris right down to the exact moment when it would throw Trump and his campaign for a loop.

Trump is political tenderfoot compared to Joe Biden. And not a very smart one at that.

#8 Twinpac I agree with you. I think Joe got tired and decided it was time to hang it up. But he wanted to wait 'til the appropriate time to really screw Trump over.

I think Twinpac is a Moron.

Consistently stupid for sure.
