Republicans Lament Trump's 'Terrible' Debate Performance

House Republicans are privately expressing frustration about former President Trump's performance in his debate against Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday.

More

Suggestion: If you want to know what GOP leaders actually thought about Trump's performance at the debate, forget the public statements and read this FoxNews article. These leaders were willing to speak truthfully with FoxNews in a way they never are willing to talk to the public or other media outlets.

Comments

Everyone recognizes a "dumpster fire" when they see one. The difference is, Dems are open and honest about it when Biden performed poorly, whereas GOP leaders have knowingly been lying about how bad Trump debated in public and to the media. Is it only when speaking to friends at FoxNews anonymously that we hear what they are actually saying among themselves. They just feel compelled to lie about it.

Jeses H.

We had countless video evidence for the entirety of this administration that Biden was in serious decline. And that he was getting worse. His inner circle clearly knew this but gaslit up a storm. 2 weeks before the debate when embarrassing video showed exactly what we saw on the debate stage, it was dubbed "cheap fakes" the The Dem media apparatus went into protect mode. Biden was being hidden as much as possible and all of these people in the media and the Democratic Party were complicit. It was known that Biden couldn't get away with not agreeing to any debates so his team drafted up 2 debates, one which was unprecedentedly early in the cycle, and dictated terms they never though Trump's team would accept. The early debate was the parachute in case Trump did accept - it could buy time to ditch Biden if the cocktail didn't work.

The cocktail didn't work and we had over three weeks of wrangling. Enforce Biden was cast away, SOLELY because he couldn't win due to him being a vegetable. Yet, he's STILL president when he clearly isn't capable of the job and hasn't been probably dating back to the beginnin* of his term. Yet he wasn't forced out of office and we now are rudderless.

Democrats are not the "good guys" in any of this. They are craven ruthless authoritarians, aided and abetted by a corrupt media.

"God-Emperor" Lewzer getting destroyed in a debate by a woman has broken Dinger.

Sad. Buy some more Lewzer NFTs... it will make you feel better.

#3. I was calling out Moder8's complete BS revisionism , you complete and utter hack.

Go stroke Trudeau's privates.

#4 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-09-12 01:30 AM

Biden went from criminal mastermind to senile seemingly overnight

Amazingly though, he owned the DR know-it-alls throughout

#5 | Posted by ChiefTutMoses at 2024-09-12 01:30 AM

I was calling out Moder8's complete BS revisionism accurate assessment of Lewzer's inability to focus on issues rather than his ego.

No.

This is what he said and what I responded to:

" The difference is, Dems are open and honest about it when Biden performed poorly"

That is complete BS because the evidence was there LONG before the debate. They took extreme measures to try and hide it and gaslight it to an absurd level.

In your opinion. After the first debate he looked really bad as a candidate and he stepped down. Make up all the BS you want, but few people know how that went down.

Kamala went on a roll and wiped her ass with Lewzer in the only debate that is likely to happen.

#8 | Posted by REDIAL at 2024-09-12 02:03 AM

He. Was. Forced. Out.

That's how bad his performance was and yet, here he is, still president when he's clearly not in control.

Who is actually in charge? Do you know?

#9 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-09-12 02:13 AM

He. Was. Forced. Out.

Again, your opinion.

LOL. When do they:

Force. Lewzer. Out?

#10 | Posted by REDIAL at 2024-09-12 02:18 AM

Effing A. After the debate disaster, George Fricking Clooney admitted at an elite power-dinner Biden was exactly like that 6 months ago.

He wasn't cast aside because he's not capable - he clearly isn't. He was kicked to 5he curb because he was exposed in a way that could no longer be hidden. Prior to the debate, Harris s poll numbers were consistently so bad that she was his 25A "insurance policy". But, she was the only choice when he had to be tossed into the gutter and here the entire left is trying to hide her and her running mate as much as possible. It might work but if it starts to go south they are in a world of hurt electorally.

I wish they could. But he clearly won the primary (as did Biden, but "saving Democracy" is totally malleable on the left).

Because he won the primary the GOP is pretty much stuck with Trump.

#12 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-09-12 02:22 AM

" Again, your opinion"

No. My observation. Lemme guess - him dropping out, but not resigning, puts him in George Washington territory, right?

#13 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-09-12 02:24 AM

I wish they could.

No you don't. You lick the taint of the ground on which he waddles. Sad.

Anyhoo... I'm off to check on hurricane reports. Have a good evening spewing disingenuous --------.

#14. Way to hurl an insult and then scurry away, you fricking coward.

#15 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-09-12 02:29 AM

No worries deadringer. I am here to take up the slack. Have you stopped --------- your dog yet today?

Notice how Jeff has to change the topic.

He STILL can't call out Trump or admit there is anything wrong with him.

Sad little Jeffy.

Not even the most obvious thing: that the man is mentally compromised.

Bellringer has been spending too much time on this site. He has lost sight of the forest for all the individual trees that he obsesses over. Joking aside, he should take a break until after the election. Or at least waste less time here. Constantly being allied with idiots like FF, LHT, Boaz and Gracie has dragged him down to their level. He clearly believes he is being insightful when he is just being tangential or worse.

I do it on a constant basis. You and so many others are blind to it because I'm also critical of Dems and y'all can't abide ANY criticism of Dems or any lefty ideology. That's what living in an ideological bubble does to people. It's ------- pathetic.

Sure you do. It's just invisible...and no one can see it but you...

#21 | Posted by Sycophant at 2024-09-12 03:41 PM

#21. It's not invisible at all.

You have a narrative and NOTHING will change that. Ever. Typical cloistered lefty.

Is Donald Trump mentally ill?

#23 | Posted by Zed at 2024-09-12 04:15 PM

Mentally I'll? I have no idea. I'm not a psychiatrist and I've certainly never had him in a room lying on his back on a couch so I could ask him Freudian questions.

#24 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-09-12 04:29 PM

- I could ask him Freudian questions

You wouldn't know a 'Freudian question' if it bit you on the ass, even if it were wearing a MAGA hat.

"Republicans Lament Trump's 'Terrible' Debate Performance"

Me playing "Hearts & Flowers" on the world's smallest violin.

They've played along with him, validated his lies, and stayed on his ship. Now they can go down with it 'cause they can't flee his sinking ship without sinking their own elections.

#26 | Posted by AMERICANUNITY at 2024-09-12 11:57 PM

You might have thought the GOP at large might have learned in 2018. Or maybe 2020. Or maybe 2022. But nope. Like the classic suckers they have come back again in 2024 still playing their same Trump card. They never learn. They deserve to lose. Again.

#27 | Posted by moder8 at 2024-09-13 03:39 PM

"Mentally I'll? I have no idea."

That's funny stuff there bro ... very Freudian.

It's adorable how persistent Bellringer is in changing the subject so we don't focus on what a traitorous cluster f*** his party has become.
